Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

Neuro Emotional Technique, or NET, is a mind-body technique that uses a methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress patterns. Through the use of manual muscle testing, NET can help identify involuntary physiological responses, thereby gently guiding clients to a deeper discovery of their current struggle(s).  The ultimate goal of NET is to correct the neuro emotional complex (NEC) – imprinted emotional information that affects physiological function – so the client can process and release stress-related issues.

NET is not – nor is it a substitute for – psychotherapy, and it does not involve any type of counseling, life coaching, or psychological testing of any sort. However, NET can be a powerful adjunct to the psychotherapy process. Clients have the option of including NET in any of their traditional counseling sessions, or seeking out NET as a stand-alone wellness service. Individual NET-only sessions can range from 20-30 minutes in length to a full 45 minutes, and they work best when clients have a specific issue or problem they would like to address.

If you are interested in learning more about NET, or would like to experience the NET difference, please contact me to schedule your session. For more detailed information about NET, or to see a live video demonstration of what a NET session looks like, please visit www.NETmindbody.com.

Please note that due to the muscle testing utilized in NET, this service is only offered in-office. Virtual NET sessions are not offered at this time.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Techniques, which are commonly referred to as “tapping”, are powerful holistic techniques whose roots stem from traditional Chinese medicine, specifically acupuncture. According to Chinese medicine, our body is made up of various meridians. These meridians connect to our organ systems and act as pathways for energy to flow throughout our body. When we are afflicted by physical or emotional stressors, the energy can become “stuck” along one or more meridians. Just as acupuncture uses needles to help restore energy flow along these meridians, tapping on certain acupoints (typically in the face, upper torso, and occasionally the fingers) provides clients with “emotional acupuncture”, thereby encouraging the body to release these stuck points and assisting clients in reconnecting to life in a more positive, balanced way.

While EFT is not – nor is it a substitute for – medical or psychological treatment, clients often find that EFT offers faster relief from active stressors or overwhelming emotions. Tapping acts as a form of gentle somatic stimulation, providing clients with an effective way to calm the “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In addition, not only does EFT have the potential of producing long-lasting results, it is also a great way for clients to become active participants in their own healing journey.

EFT is available to clients both in-office and virtually (via phone or video sessions).

Disclosure: Please be advised that these holistic methods are not intended to be substitutes for medical or psychological diagnosis and treatment, and they do not replace the services of licensed health care professionals. Although these holistic methods appear to have promising physical, mental, and emotional benefits, and there is a growing amount of valid scientific research indicating that both NET and EFT meet the criteria to be considered evidence-based techniques, they have yet to be fully researched by the Western academic, medical, and psychological communities. Therefore, the energy methods described on this website are considered experimental and the extent of their effectiveness, as well as their risk and benefits, are not fully known.
